Pez bruja




El pez bruja es conocido como mixine o mixino, en inglés, hagfish.

Es un pez que carece de mandíbulas. Pertenece a la familia myxinidae.

Se desarrollan en los fondos marinos y, por ello, no tienen los ojos muy desarrollados. Al no tener una visión muy clara del ambiente, tiene dificultad para identificar a sus víctimas.

Su función en los sistemas marinos es la de “reciclar” la materia orgánica. Y es que como hay gran abundancia de estos animales en los fondos marinos y se alimentan de cadáveres, van regenerando la materia orgánica en descomposición y limpiando un poco el fondo oceánico.



Su baba se está estudiando a fondo, puesto que posiblemente se convierta en la lycra del futuro
